The full story
A group of vampires led by the Talos siblings, Danica and Asher, digs up Dracula in the Syrian desert. He's the first vampire, he goes by Drake now, and sunlight can't hurt him. To keep Blade out of the way, they frame him for killing a human familiar, and the FBI raids his hideout and kills Whistler. Blade gives himself up.
The familiars arrange for him to be handed over to the vampires, and he's rescued by Hannibal King and Abigail Whistler, Abraham's daughter, members of a band of young human hunters called the Nightstalkers. Their blind scientist, Sommerfield, has made Daystar, a virus that kills vampires at the genetic level. To work, it needs pure blood. Drake's.
Drake corners Blade alone, and makes it clear he thinks humans and vampires are both beneath him. Abigail and Blade find a vampire blood farm, where brain-dead humans are drained to feed the vampire population, and shut it down. They come back to find the Nightstalkers' hideout massacred, Sommerfield among the dead, and King and Sommerfield's daughter Zoe taken. Sommerfield's last recording warns that Drake's blood will complete the virus, and that it may kill Blade too.
Blade and Abigail storm the vampires' building and free the captives. Abigail kills Asher, and King kills the Talos bodyguard, Grimwood. Drake beats Blade until Abigail fires the Daystar arrow; Drake catches it, and Blade grabs it and stabs him with it. The virus completes and spreads through the air, killing Danica and every vampire near them. As he dies, Drake warns Blade that he'll give in to the thirst one day, and uses the last of his power to take Blade's shape. The FBI recovers what it thinks is Blade's body, and on the autopsy table it turns back into Drake.
