The box only appears on titles that were officially released on DVD, Blu-ray or 4K Ultra HD. Every film on the road has one. Most TV doesn’t: the Netflix shows stopped coming out on disc after their early seasons, and most Disney+ series have never been released on disc.
The collection needs an account. Without one, the expanded row doesn’t show the box.
A release in any country counts.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seasons 4 to 7 came out on Blu-ray in Japan, and season 7 was only released there. Iron Fist season 1 never came out in the US, but did in the UK and Japan. Agent Carter season 2 came out in Japan, and in Germany as part of a complete-series set.
Not always. Standard Blu-rays are region-coded: the US and Japan are Region A, and the UK, Europe and Australia are Region B. A player generally only plays discs from its own region unless the disc is region-free.
DVDs use different regions: the US and Canada are Region 1, and Japan, the UK and most of Europe are Region 2. 4K Ultra HD discs are almost never region-locked.
Check the region on the listing before you import a disc.
None of them came out on disc. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist each had season 1 released, and Daredevil had season 2 as well. No later season was released, and neither was The Defenders or either season of The Punisher.
WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki seasons 1 and 2, Moon Knight and Hawkeye. All six came out as 4K Ultra HD SteelBooks between 2023 and 2025. No Marvel series has come out on disc since.
If Disney releases more, those titles will get a box.
No, it’s a bootleg. Bootleg sets of many Disney+ series are sold online, usually labelled “Region Free”.
Signs of a bootleg: it’s sold by an import shop rather than the studio or a major retailer, its release date is on or before the day the series finished streaming, and the number of discs doesn’t match the number of episodes. Only official releases count.
The box appears once the disc is out, not when it’s announced. Pre-orders don’t count.
