Khonshu is an ancient Egyptian god of the moon and vengeance, one of the Ennead who once ruled over Egypt before withdrawing from direct involvement in mortal affairs. He selects mortal avatars to serve as his fists on Earth, granting them enhanced abilities in exchange for carrying out his brand of brutal justice, most recently binding himself to Marc Spector.
