Dreykov is the founder and director of the Red Room, the secretive program that trains kidnapped and orphaned girls into an army of assassins called Black Widows, controlled through mind-altering pheromone technology. He faked his own death decades earlier to continue operating in secret, until Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova tracked him down to dismantle the Red Room and free the Widows under his control.
